Project Description
Switch Networks, Telecoms, Broadband & VoIP Provider assisted LMA in Pocklington, York with a VoIP phone system for their business needs.
LMA are an independent family-owned manufacturer of aerosols and liquid products.
Their existing business telephone system was an outdated PBX system which used ISDN lines. They wanted to update their system to prepare for the upcoming ISDN switch off. We recommended our VoIP solution which offered flexibility and advanced features. The new 20 user system would improve call handling throughout departments within their busy production factory.
The business wanted to create more flexibility for home workers to access files remotely with a managed network solution.
Degraded network infrastructure would need to be replaced at the customer's request.
The Challenges
The production and office staff would need to be fully operational during their business hours, so the work was required to be undertaken outside of these times.
Busy aerosol production environment that requires engineers to follow strict health & safety protocols.
Majority of telephone locations did not have suitable network ports.
The Solutions
Our engineers carried out the required work during weekend and evening hours.
All engineers were briefed and followed the customers health & safety requirements while work was carried out.
New network infrastructure was implemented including installation of new CAT6 cabling to a centralised data cabinet. Additional network points were installed to accommodate the IP telephones across the site.
The managed network was configured to allow secure incoming connections for users to access shared files remotely.
Switch Networks continue to offer the client services such as ongoing telephone system support, IT services and remote network support.
